The head in blue
“At first there is nothing, then there is a deep void and after that a depth in blue” Ives Kein
All beginning with an enormous plastic fabric of an intense blue perfectly folded, that slowly unfold and stir in a vertiginous movement that invents at the same time, a sea and a wave of events that happen without stopping. In an incessant flow, images are woven that flee to the sense and only celebrate its birth and its brief existence, minutes later that enormous canvas but compacts, it is placed in the head.
The blue canvas on my head led me to think about that color, I found a color as a starting point for a new piece, I also stumbled upon three artists with whom I am interested in working to analyze their artistic procedures, conceptual approaches, modes of production, Creation tools and everything that research is on. So far I’m interested in working with Novecento by Alessandro Baricco, Ives Klein’s Blue and Yishai Jusidman’s Prussian Blue. At the moment there is no sense that connects them to each other, they will only be provocative of the sensitive material that can be added to the piece.
These provocations (the blue canvas in my head and the blue of other artists), invite us to create only landscapes, accumulations and events without purpose. Where only I feel committed to the construction and destruction of minimal and incessant events.
Premiere December 2017, Mexico City.
